Conditional sentences
used to express that the action in the man clause (without if) can only take place if a
certain condition (with if) is fulfilled
Type I
it is possible and also very likely that the condition will be fulfilled.
form : If + simple present , will - future
example;
1. If I study hard, I will past the final exam
2. If I win the math competition, they will gave me the trophy
3. I will not go to Taipa, if it rains
4. If I have much money, I will give it to my parents
5. If I come late, I will get punishment from the teacher
Type II
it is possible and very unlikely that the condition will be fulfilled
form : If + simple past , would + infinitife
example;
1. If I knew grammar, I would finish my homework
2. If I were Albert Einstein, I would win the physic competition
3. If I had money, I would buy an english book
4. If I had magic, I wouldn't do this homework
5. If Yoseob were my boyfriend, I would be the happiest girl in the world
Type III
it is impossible that the condition will be fulfilled because it refers to the past
form : If + past perfect , would + have + past participle
example;
1. If I had come to reunion, I would have met her
2. I wouldn't have hurt my finger, If I hadn't touched the soldier
3. If I had studied math, I would have passed the first exam
4. I would have given you gift, If I had remembered your birthday
5. If I had known his number, I would have called him
